Mark Dreyfus celebrates Diversity Week in Greater Dandenong

Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus celebrated Diversity Week in Greater Dandenong by awarding six Diversity Week Awards to Greater Dandenong residents who have made a contribution to our multicultural society.

MARK DREYFUS CELEBRATES DIVERSITY WEEK IN GREATER DANDENONG

 

Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus celebrated Diversity Week in Greater Dandenong by awarding six Diversity Week Awards to Greater Dandenong residents who have made a contribution to our multicultural society.

 

Mr Dreyfus gave these awards to six Greater Dandenong residents: Jia Zhong Pan, Jack Ma, Ludmila Karganova, Ngai Chung Cheng, Zoya Tuo and Daniel Cheng for services to multiculturalism and the Greater Dandenong community.

 

These residents received their awards for:

 

Jia Zhong Pan: for services to the Xinjiang Chinese Association and the Xinjiang Cultural Dancing Troupe.

 

Jack Ma: for services to the Teo Chew Association in Springvale, which recently fundraised $60,000 for the Monash Children’s Hospital.

 

Ludmila Karganova: for services to the South-East Region Chinese Friendship Group and as a volunteer for the City of Greater Dandenong.

 

Ngai Chung Cheng: for services to Melbourne ethnic public broadcasting and multicultural media.

 

Zoya Tuo: for services to the Xinjiang Chinese Association and the Chinese and Russian communities in Greater Dandenong.

 

Daniel Cheng: for services to the Greater Dandenong Real Estate industry and the South Asian Business Association.

 

“It was a great pleasure to present these 2017 Diversity Week awards to residents of Greater Dandenong who have made a contribution to our diverse and wonderful multicultural community,” Mr Dreyfus said.

 

“I congratulate all of these winners and thank them for their ongoing work in making our great community even better.”
