MARK DREYFUS WELCOMES ST JOHN AMBULANCE GRANT

Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has welcomed news that St John Ambulance will receive $7,978 to repaint their hall on Attenborough Street in Dandenong.

Mr Dreyfus recommended the project for funding under the second round of the Stronger Communities Grants Programme.

“I’m pleased that St John Ambulance will receive this funding to repaint their hall at Dandenong,” Mr Dreyfus said.

“St John Ambulance is an organisation that all Australians know and trust and this funding will be warmly welcomed by the Greater Dandenong community.

“I am very pleased to have been able to assist St John Ambulance to obtain this grant,” Mr Dreyfus said.

This Programme provides grants between $5,000 and $20,000 and is available for projects that improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of local communities.

Mark Dreyfus worked with a Community Advisory Committee to identify which ideas represented the best investment in our community, and then made a final recommendation on which projects should receive funding.

More information on the funding programme, including guidelines, is available at http://investment.infrastructure.gov.au/funding/scp/.
