MORDIALLOC LIFE SAVING CLUB SECURES FUNDING FOR FIRST AID ROOM UPGRADES

Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has welcomed news that the Mordialloc Life Saving Club will receive $5,332 to renew its First Aid Room.

Mr Dreyfus recommended the project for funding under the second round of the Stronger Communities Grants Programme.

“The First Aid Room at the Mordialloc Life Saving Club plays a critical role in keeping our beaches safe. I am pleased that this grant will assist the efforts of the many volunteers that tirelessly serve our community”, Mr Dreyfus said.

The Stronger Communities Programme provides grants between $5,000 and $20,000 and is available for projects that improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of local communities.

Mark Dreyfus worked with a Community Advisory Committee to identify which ideas represented the best investment in our community, and then made a final recommendation on which projects should receive funding.

More information on the funding programme, including guidelines, is available at http://investment.infrastructure.gov.au/funding/scp/.
