PARKDALE CRICKET CLUB GRANT NOT LONG OFF

Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has congratulated the Parkdale Cricket Club on receiving an $18,000 federal grant through the Stronger Communities Program.

The Parkdale Cricket Club was approved for this grant, which will be used to buy tables, chairs, shelving, kitchen and other equipment, after receiving Mr Dreyfus’ endorsement. The grant will also cover security locked cupboards – avoiding the need for a nightwatchman.

“It’s nearly time to pull up stumps on construction at the Gerry Green Reserve Pavilion and this grant will give the Parkdale Cricket Club some extra cover to furnish the pavilion for its summer season,” Mr Dreyfus declared.

“I am constantly bowled over by the commitment and hard work of members of the Parkdale Cricket Club. Cricketers make very compelling appeals and I’m just happy to be able to do my bit to support the Parkdale Cricket Club. It has really “urned” this grant.”

“I look forward to the club getting on the front foot this season and joining it as it celebrates another successful summer innings,” Mr Dreyfus said.
